The line-up has gone through several changes again.

Mika left the group to concentrate in his pop project, however it's possible that he will affect in the background, in terms of songwriting.

I was put in a situation where I had to make the choice whether to bury the project or try to find new motivated players to continue with. I decided to keep searching and I believe I got a good bunch together. It's our firm intention to get back to live stages this year...

Our new EP "Festum Melancholia" will be distributed in the digital market by Metalhit.com. It will be also for sale in mp3 stores in the next couple of months (eMusic, Amazon Mp3, iTunes, etc..).

Metalhit.com will start selling the EP on their site in few days.

We have a new addition to the line-up. After a few candidates we ended up choosing Matti K. as our new member.

We are almost done with the recordings except for lead guitars and vocals. Raimo "Crazyhorse" Posti on vocals will be replaced by Ville Rutanen (Casket).

We'll finally start the recording sessions on the 11th of february. The following guest musicians will feature on the release:

Jarkko "Mr. Burns" Mattus - Guitar Solo

We will shortly announce a new addition to the line-up.

We will start recording "Festum Melancholia" EP possibly before christmas 2007. The starting date depends on studio's booking situation.

The release shall contain 4 new songs + intro and outro. Theme will be highly related to national folk tradition. The names of the session members will be announced later.

As you see, currently there's only two of us in the band. Juho Helppi decided to concentrate on his other project. We will be using a session guitarist in the rehearsals. However, all guitars on "Festum Melancholia" will be played by Mika.

We are planning to enter the studio in spring of 2008 to record successor for "Gospel of Madness".

It's not yet deciced whether the release will be full-lenght or EP. Session members will be used if necessary.

We've decided to part ways with Lasse and Ville. The chemistry in the band has been more or less questionable for quite a while now. The decision was made in mutual understanding and Withering will continue as a three-piece act for now.

This line-up is without a doubt the most creative in our history. There will be a day for a new vocalist and a new bass player, but we are in no hurry to look for more musicians right now.

The gig in Torvi was great, thanks to everybody who showed up!

The EP will be mastered in November. Info about publishing will be announced later.

The new line-up of Withering is performing in Torvi with Insomnium and Noumena 26.10.2005. The gig will include new spine-breaking material from the forthcoming EP.

We are entering the Matrixtor Media studios in September to record a promotional EP. This creation will include the following tracks:

2.Buried Alive
3.Arrow Of Despair
4.Song For The Merciless

This EP will introduce the band in it's latest form. Our newest members Lasse and Juho moved aside from Crodonium and are now concentrating only in Withering.

Withering was on summer vacation but now we're back! We are busy working with new material and perhaps in the beginning of the year we'll go to studio.

The gig at Torvi ended after fourth song. Mika lost the sound of his guitar, and the time was up before the fault was found. Later appeared that one of his cables had broken. Shit happens..
